I need a break now.

I’m giving myself a break this week. The funeral yesterday was awful. I won’t go into details but needless to say I’m mentally exhausted. I think the last couple of weeks with being busy at work, busy at home and busy on weekends has really taken it out of me. Plus my father visited at the weekend and he always stresses me out. How can one of your parents bring out the worst in you? Actually my mother does the same thing, thank goodness they got divorced 20 years ago – imagine both of them at once – holy snapping duck poo!!!!!

I just need to look after myself now for a few days. I’m sure I’ll be much better once this next weekend is over and done with, then I can relax for a couple of weeks before the Christmas “BS” kicks in.

I really miss my DS. I feel like I’m not getting to see him at all and I’m getting the guilts about it big time. I was in tears this morning when I left him at daycare.

Forgive me if I don’t blog too much this week as I really don’t think I can afford the time. Plus it would just be sad sack stuff that you all really don’t need to hear anyway.

I’ll catch up on you all by the end of the week, but I’m just needing to really concentrate on myself and my family this week and give them some quality time.

Isn’t it strange, this is happening to a few of us lately. I guess it’s just that time of year. I hate Christmas.

I hope you all have a fantastic week. Take care of yourselves – you are all so worth it.

Edit: I'm adding this quiz thing that everyone else has done. I did it last week but just haven't had the chance to add it in yet.

Hi Bri. Funerals can be very heartwrenching but can also be good in that we remember to cherish those that are still with us and help us to appreciate them even more.

Putting a child (or two) in childcare is a tough thing for any Mum who loves her children to do. There have been days when I drop them off then go and sit in the car and cry before I go to work. Not often, but a couple of times a year. As we don't have family here I love that the boys have an opportunity to socialise, learn new skills, play with toys we don't have, paint the walls (which we don't allow LOL) so I feel the good outweighs the bad.

Lachie knows you love him and probably doesn't even know you aren't there - until you pick him up.

I seriously love your list. And you are right - there are some doozies in there LOL. Like living in Sweden. I would say "Hej. Hou mor do? Ya er Margaret. Va heter du?" But I know the answer would be "I am fine thanks. And my name is Bri" (and my Swedish spelling probably sucks and you would not have worked out what I meant LOL)

I'm sending lots of hugs and happiness for this week of reclaiming yourself and look forward to you coming back and blogging with a vengence on this home stretch to 2006. Whooo Hoooo.

Poor Bri. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you to leave Lachlan at day care. I was shocking when I had to leave Charlie with Mum when I went on tour, so I can understand your pain! I know he still loves you and that it won't "scar" him for life or anything, so don't worry about it from that perspective.

I absolutely loved your list. I want to get "Kid Wrangling" - that can be a Xmas pressie, I think! And how's that about your mum and dad! Wow - I need to come down there and get drunk with you and have lots of d and m's! They would be very interesting.

Hope you're feeling better. Christmas WILL be nice - try not to stress out about it, especially with all the crap you've got to deal with this week. Thinking of you and hoping that you're rad.

So sorry to hear that the funeral was so upsetting, but agree with Michelle that you do need this time to grieve. Its no surprise that you are feeling so guilty about Lachlan either - losing someone will always make you appreciate your own family and health so much more.

Hope you have some nice time chilling out this week, and we look forward to catching up with you again next week.

PS, I love Robbie Williams too!
